Recently there was an exciting live stream event on July 10 2024 on GeoSitter Facebook, focusing on the fundamentals you need to know about a new generation of geotechnical automatic inclinometer (Inclino-Robot). Our seasoned product sales Serena, who has over 5- year-experience in geotechnical engineering was on hand to deliver a comprehensive overview and answer the burning questions, ensuring that you leave the session with a clear understanding of how to leverage inclinometers for your projects.
1. The Inclino-Robot (Automatic Inclinometer) Overview: give an introduction to the Inclino-Robot, highlighting its features, capabilities, and the technology behind it.
2. Cloud Platform Introduction: give a brief introduction about the user-friendly interface and robust features of our own monitoring data platform, making you see how easy it is to integrate the Inclino-Robot with the data platform.
We received several questions during the live stream and we will highlight key questions from our audience and provide comprehensive answers. This interactive segment will not only address your individual concerns but also provide valuable insights for all participants. Whether you’re curious about the technical specifications, installation challenges, or data management, we’ve got you covered.
1.
Q: Is the Inclino-Robot able to monitor an inclinometer borehole at 0.5m interval?
A: yes.
2.
Q: Approximately how long does it take to monitor a 40m deep Borehole at 0.5m interval?
A: 15 mins for 30m Depth; 22 mins for 40m Depth; 33 mins for 50m Depth; 48 mins for 70m Depth
3.
Q: Can this be programmed to monitor and send out data at the required interval?
A: Yes, you can customize the interval on the data platform.
4.
Q: To program monitoring interval, it must be physically on device or can be done remotely also?
A: The first-time setup is performed manually, and subsequent operations can be managed remotely.
5.
Q: How is the yearly calibration done?
A: The sensor can be disassembled separately and sent to a professional measurement institution for calibration.
6.
Q: How many projects have Inclino-Robot been used so far and how many numbers and how’s the performance?
A: In 2024,there are about 6 projects so far, with more than 40 pieces of instruments. The data is stable and good. The depth is about 40 meters, and the deepest is 69 meters.
7.
Q: Is the Inclino-Robot able to be recycled after completion of monitoring and reused in the next borehole?
A: Yes.
8.
Q: Have you conducted any tests to compare the monitoring results of the Inclino-Robot with those of a manual inclinometer probe?
A: One of our clients provided feedback after rigorous testing on real construction sites. The Inclino-Robot consistently produced results that matched those of the client's manual probe, ensuring reliable data and reinforcing confidence in the accuracy of the measurements for their project. This is the test results:Test Results of Inclino-Robot and a traditional manual inclinometer.pdf
9.
Q: What is the output we get from the prob? Does it directly provide accumulative movement at each depth directly?
A: The probe provides raw data. You can use your own methods to output the tilt angle and displacement at each depth.
10.
Q: Do we need to add anything else other than 4G/5G sim card for data transmission?
A: No need, SIM card only
11.
Q: How long can the battery last without charging when monitoring at a depth of 40m with intervals of 0.5m and a frequency of 1 hour or 3 hours?
A: 1-hour for 3d; 3-hour for 7d; 6-hour for 15d
12.
Q: Can the battery be charged using external power and a solar panel?
A: Yes, the battery is rechargeable using both external power and a solar panel.
